Welcome to Kim Nicole Hairdressing! I’m Kim Nicole, the proud owner and editorial freelance stylist behind this vibrant salon.
My passion for hair began at the tender age of 14 in a local salon, where I started as an apprentice and worked my way up gaining experience to become the Advanced Creative Director which was the highest stylist level in the salon, however always striving for more I wasn't going to stop there.
Over the years, I dedicated myself to perfecting my craft, travelling across the UK to gather inspiration and refine my skills. In 2020, I achieved a significant milestone by winning a scholarship to study at the renowned Vidal Sassoon in London.
This incredible experience shaped my artistic vision and has influenced everything I do today. Following on from my scholarship in 2021, I had the honour of being selected for the ‘Fellowship of British Hairdressing Project Men, followed by the pioneering Project Afro in 2023, both prestigious programs offering a year of specialized education that have expanded my expertise and creativity.
In the world of fashion, I’ve been fortunate to be part of the hair team for Fashion Weeks in London and internationally. There’s nothing quite like the electric atmosphere of Fashion Week, where creativity knows no boundaries and every look tells a story. Collaborating with talented designers and fellow stylists, I’ve had the chance to bring breathtaking hairstyles to life on the runway, turning heads and setting trends. From high-energy shows to exclusive presentations, each experience has fueled my passion for innovative hair artistry and allowed me to showcase my skills on a global stage.
On the television front, I’ve had the thrill of working on popular shows like “Little Mix: The Search,” “The Voice,” and “Kidzbop.” Being part of these productions has been an exhilarating journey, where I get to create stunning looks for some of the most talented performers. The fast-paced environment and the opportunity to contribute to unforgettable moments on screen are truly exhilarating. Each show presents unique challenges and creative opportunities, allowing me to push my boundaries and bring my vision to life while helping these incredible artists shine.
As a qualified Level 4 hairdresser and a self-proclaimed hair geek, I believe in the power of continuous learning. I’m currently training to become a trichologist, and by 2025, I’ll be offering bespoke appointments to help clients with hair loss and scalp issues, My journey is just beginning, so keep your eyes peeled for my next chapter in the world of hair!
